It was my pleasure to interview Jim Caldwell, Executive Director of Workforce Incubator.
Roe: Can you give us a brief description of your service(s)?
Jim: Workforce Incubator cultivates world class talent pools for 21st Century careers. It assists entrepreneurs by driving workforce development initiatives that focus on an industry’s emerging priorities. It also forges connections between individual businesses and the talent pipeline, supported by public/private partnerships that are built for individual industries. Workforce Incubator also creates online communities for specific industries to better accomplish their growth initiatives.
Roe: How do your services help entrepreneurs succeed?
Jim: Entrepreneurs can find the talent they need through highly cost-effective recruiting programs via online communities targeted at their industry’s top-rated colleges and universities. They also benefit from the public/private partnership through relationships that influence educators’ programs to meet their specific needs.
Roe: Can you give us some tips for Tri-Valley entrepreneurs to succeed?
Jim: For your recruiting and internship needs, a Student Contact Management System is a highly effective means of identifying talent and cultivating relationships with prospective employees over time. This system can dramatically reduce the need for campus recruiting while producing superior results. Variations of this system enable entrepreneurs to belong to online communities that attract more established talent for their industry and accelerate the industry’s growth.
Roe: Any special offers or deals you would be willing to offer?
Jim: We’re a nonprofit; so much of what we do is free to the entrepreneur. There are nominal subscription fees for technical platforms like the Student Contact Management System.
